On the dark side

Hi Gorgeous,

Every person, and it doesn't matter if you are a woman or a man, have some bad moments or bad days. I don't know if you even realise but our clothes and makeup most of the time are perfect to describe how do you feel. Unless your favourite colours are bright black, pastel black, dark black and sometimes those are mine anyway..
I think there is nothing wrong with having a bad day or even a bad period of time, we all need to get some things sorted in our heads, so we can put them together, and we need some time to think too. Some people will never show what they feel down deep inside and they will wear a mask when meeting others, next group of people will show the emotions outside. There will be different reasons for our bad mood, but we can try to make ourselves feel better and at least try to get a bit better state of being.
In some cases makeup can also help. Don't get me wrong because if you are going through some very difficult and painful moment in your life I don't advise you to apply makeup and so all your sadness will disappear. I just want to tell you that sometimes by making our self looking good we might change our mood a little bit. Makeup I've created is a smokey eye with a matte nude lipstick. It is a brown-black smokey eye and of course the whole attention is on the eyes. My mood is not the greatest and my colour of the day is black and makeup is in dark shades, but I like it and the way it looks. Black always look good, right?
Before you start doing your eye makeup and just imagine that by accident you forgot you will be applying dark eyeshadow so there might be some fall out. You have already done you foundation etc., don't worry, just apply (after the concealer) a heavy layer of setting powder under the eyes so when you finish just swipe off any excess. Beside it will 'bake' the area under the eyes so it will look smooth and bright. Few things now about Smokey eyes so if the makeup is done the right way it can make your eyes look bigger, this type of eye makeup will hide hooded eyes too. It is great for day and night time. When your eyes are small remember to apply underneath the eyes a nicely blended eyeshadow and blend the black eye pencil from the inner water line to the lash line and below. All the blending should be soft and without any harsh lines. And again if your eyes are small just go a bit lower then usually because that will create extra space for your eye and make the eyes look bigger. The key to success is not the most black colour, because smokey eyes you can do in whatever colour you want, all is important is blending and creating the soft smokey effect.. and remember by darkening and blending the eye pencil on the top eyelid we are darkening the whole eye makeup. If you have hooded eyelids don't extend the eye pencil and just stop at the lash line. To extend the eye in the outer corner just use the eyshadow and blend them gently, outwards . If you apply too much of the dark eyeshadow and it will look a bit messy you can always apply and try to blend it with face powder or brighter eyeshadow colour to fix the mistake. Remember if you do one and you want the eyes look even ( or anywhere around face) do this same mistake on the other half of your face and than fix it all so it will look this same and nobody will realise that it supposed to be any other way.
With smokey eye makeup is all about blending, you don't have to know how to do a nice straight line with an eyeliner because we apply black eyeshadow on the top of it anyway. I did apply black liquid liner too but you can skip this step. Smokey eye always give you the drama and they suit most of people in my opinion.
Hope it is helpful and if you have any questions just write them in the comments down below. I hope to that you like the final look.
