DownTown
Hi Gorgeous,
In the last couple of weeks I was doing very neutral and nude makeup looks, but as I've told you it all depends on current mood.
This week I was in a mood for something dramatic, but yet different. Usually I don't go for bold lips look and dramatic eye makeup, but today is one of these days and after I did eye makeup I've decided to apply burgundy lipstick. If you lips are thin and you still would like to apply dark color, just use lipstick with shiny finish.. or apply lip gloss in the the middle of lips and use dark lip liner. This trick was used by Marilyn Monroe. If you check her pictures, Marilyn was overdrawing the contour of her lips and lipstick she used was couple of shades brighter than her lip liner.
She is an absolute Icon for me. Amount of tips and tricks Marilyn used..and they all worked.
When it comes to trends in makeup I never follow them, the reason for it is very simple.. You can't just apply makeup certain way just because that is the look from Runway.. Same when it comes to clothes. I do use some current trends but they have to suit my figure and my personality.
Makeup is very important part of your completed look. If you want to be kind of invisible just apply something nude and neutral. If on the other hand you want to be have some attention then any bold lips look, any dramatic look will give you that!
Play with makeup, try different techniques, different makeup stuff and pick up something what suit you best. Don't apply makeup in unusual way just because somebody said it is in trends.
Always remember to feel good about how you look, about what you wear and what kind of makeup you have.
If do you have any questions about what way apply your makeup, how to apply eyeshadow on your eye shape etc. just please write it down in the comment box.
The only thing I can advise to anyone who is starting their adventure with makeup is to have fun, and play with it! It supposed to give you happiness and more self confidence. Don't listen to anybody just check yourself in the mirror and if you like it, this the most important!
Hope you like this dramatic eye makeup and bold lips. Blue eyeliner gives hint of fun and creativity.
If do you have anything you would like to tell me just write it down in the comment box!
Hope you have an amazing week! Enjoy every day, spend time with people that are important in your life and cherish every moment.
Xoxo,
M.
