Hi Gorgeous,
As we all have things we don't like about ourselves, some smaller or bigger imperfections. I've decided to create this makeup look for those of you who have small, hooded eyes and thin lips etc. . Makeup since forever was helping to achieve ideal beauty look. First we have to answer one question, what does ideal mean...Is an Instagram beuty ideal? in my opinion not at all, because people should be different not this same. On Instagram's pictures girls are wearing huge amount of makeup and that is not ideal.. Are your small eyes ideal? Yes, for me they are, you will probably ask me why? how come? you hate them since forever and you wish to have Penelope's Cruz eyes. My answer will be always this same. Your small eyes are perfect because with other eye set your face would be different and it would not be you anymore. Are your eyes small as you mom's or granny's? Whenever you look in the mirror do they remind you of your family? And that is great! Having a small part of beloved people is a treasure, and nobody else has it.. that is why we are unique! That is why we should cherish difference. We can't be looking this same way! Internet now is showing us a very wierd beauty icons. And it applies to face, hair, body, almost everything. When it comes to face we should be wearing false eyelashes all day long, have hialuronic acid lips injections to plump them up and fill the cheekbones to have them more outlined. Is that what would you like to have on your face? If we go this direction we will all look like clones.
Nonetheless makeup can help you to make your eyes look bigger if that would be something you are looking for, your lips can look fuller, you face thanks to contouring products can look more defined. There is loads of tips and tricks to help mother nature.
Small eyes by right application of eyeshadow and use of eyeliner we can make pop up. The key to success is to extend the black line on the inner and outter corner of the eye. Don't apply black liner on the water line, use beige or white instead. If you apply eyeliner, and with your eye shape you can do flick, just apply dark eyeshadow in the outter corner to make impression of bigger eyelid which will make your eyes look bigger too. Apply eyeshadow below the bottom lashes, shades should be applied and broughten downwards to create smokey effect.
When it comes to lips avoid strong and neony colors. Avoid matte effect. To make your lips look bigger apply lip liner slightly above your natural lip line and use a satin finish lipstick with some lip gloss on the top.
Contour with darker color and fill them in with brighter. It was a trick used by Marylin Monroe.
Face contouring will depend on your face shape, just rember less is more.
If your face is round as mine just apply contouring powder/bronzer around the outside edge of your face. If you want to only contour use the product without any shimmery in it.
Hope it will be helpful and if you have any more question just write them in the comment box. Below you can find pictures with description and product list.
Xoxo,
M.
